MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Choose a height-measuring tool

Start with where you will measure, whether the instrument must move, and the range it must cover.

A permanent measuring spot

A wall instrument avoids storing a separate floor base. Check the wall, installation height and scale alignment in the manufacturer's manual. An adjustable scale, such as the seca 216, needs the correct band selected during installation.

A setup that moves

Portable rods are useful when one fixed wall is not available. Compare device weight, packed dimensions, assembly steps and accessory costs. The seca 213, seca 217 and Charder HM200P are examples with different transport trade-offs.

A display is only one feature

A digital readout can be convenient, but first check the lowest measurable height. The Charder HM200D starts at 120 cm. Use the filter to exclude ranges that cannot cover your requirement.
